Badges and all Conference Material will be provided from the Registration Desk. You can also pick up your ATHENS SPOTLIGHTED CARD, upon request, in order to take advantage of the discounted rates.
A tour desk will be located within the Registration Desk. It will provide information about Athens as well as tours in the city and around the country.

Audiovisual Equipment

All meeting rooms will be equipped with computer, data video projector (PowerPoint presentations) and screen. No slide projector or transparency projector will be available. All speakers and presenters are required to use a USB-key or CDROM for their presentations. All versions of MS PowerPoint are accepted excluding Mac.
Please note that personal laptops will not be permitted for the use of presentations .For that reason, we strongly recommend you to timely deliver your presentation at the Speakers Service Centre, which will be operating during the whole duration of the Conference at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre.
Speakers and Presenters are kindly requested to hand in all presentations material (USB-key or CDROM) at least one hour before their scheduled presentation time and be in the meeting hall of their presentation at least 10 minutes before each session starts.

HOW TO REACH THE CONFERENCE VENUE & OFFICIAL SATELLITE HOTELS

Athens International Airport Information: +30 210 3530000

The airport is located 33 km southeast of Athens and is easily accessible from MAICC and the city centre via motorway, express bus or metro. An average journey by taxi from the airport to the city centre should take approximately 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic, costing around €25 –30. The express bus line X95 (direction “Syntagma”), serves Athens city centre & MAICC. The metro line 3 (blue line) runs every 10 minutes from the airport and the trip takes approximately 30 minutes. Conference Badges

The Conference  badges are absolutely necessary for the admission and access to the congress halls and exhibition.

Coffee & Lunch Breaks

Coffee & Lunch Breaks will be offered to all registered participants, according to the time schedule announced in the programme.

Language

The Conference’s official language is English. No interpretation will be provided.

Electricity

The electricity current in Greece is 220v, 50Hz and the socket type is European Standard.

Smoking Policy

Starting from July 1st 2009 smoking is prohibited by the law at all indoor public areas in Greece.

Health

Emergency treatment is free to all – natives and visitors alike – in public hospitals.

INTERNET AVAILABILITY

Wireless Internet access will be provided free of charge. Participants may use their own laptops. In addition, an Internet Corner will be operating.
